As a food reviewer from Foodjoyy, I couldn't resist sharing my admiration for this unique restaurant. The reviews from patrons reveal a common thread—attentive service and remarkable dishes that keep bringing them back for more. Take Mathew Palmer’s birthday celebration, where the chef personalized the experience by preparing small plates before the official dinner menu opened. This level of hospitality is a testament to Polidor's commitment to customer satisfaction.
On a bustling Friday night, Morgan Richards and friends were enamored by the incredible food and welcoming atmosphere. Their dining experience was enhanced by the cozy garden area complete with heaters, creating an inviting vibe that is perfect for any occasion. Special mention goes to Matteo, whose attentiveness and warmth left a lasting impression.
Polidor stands out not just for its atmosphere but also for its culinary creations. For a cocktail lover, the experience is equally divine. g sp quoted their partner, who remarked that their After Eight cocktail was “the best cocktail I've ever had.” This highlights the creativity and skill that goes into every drink served at Polidor. “ Came here for just a few bits to eat and some beers on my birthday. Incredibly attentive staff, and very nice of the chef to cook small plates before the dinner kitchen opened. ”
“ We came on Friday night and had an amazing experience. All the food was incredible (however each plate came out separately when it was ready which perhaps could have been explained when we ordered) and the staff couldn't have done more for us. We were sat at the back in a garden area, which had heaters so was very cosy and good vibes. Matteo was especially attentive and friendly. One of our new fave spots in Liverpool!! ”
“ Amazing food and staff cocktails are fantastic. Chef with the tattoos is brilliant and his food is insane. 100% will be back. ”
“ This restaurant took me by complete surprise. I'm awfully sceptical coming to places like this. When they over complicate the menu it can be a turn off. I opted for the burger and wasn't disappointed. Wife choose a few small plates, a chicken one, prawns and a bowl of chips. Our two vegetarian friends have been here before so they knew what to order, they seemed delighted with their choices! Would certainly come back as the burger I ordered was fantastic! They even had Camden Hells on draught! All a in all, would absolutely recommend! ”
“ I took my other half who got an After Eight cocktail and I quote, "Best cocktail I've ever had." Great atmosphere and terrific staff. ”
“ Lovely food and great vibes at Polidor - and they're dog friendly! Must try the cauliflower from the small plates, very tasty and different in taste, and the chunky chips with the burger were plenty to fill you up for good. Love their pastries too, in the morning you can enjoy croissants among other sweet treats. Service a bit slow, but I guess it takes time to make food from scratch. ”
“ absolutely lovely experience! went for a post-birthday dinner and was just really nice time all around - the food was amazing, particularly the zucchini fritte ”
“ We had breakfast here on a Sunday. My breakfast was smashed avocado, poached eggs and feta on a focaccia and my partner had eggs Benedict with bacon. I also had a really nice chai. Coffee was decent too. The food was tasty and we had a nice seat by the window. The only improvements would have been a larger plate for my partners breakfast, and a crispier bacon, but all in all, a good start to the day. ”
